Pride Martial Arts – Circuit training

Circuit training is one of the best ways to keep in shape and burn the calories.

At Pride we run weekly circuit training (boot camps) because we understand that everyone isn’t interested in training in Martial Arts.

When people come to see us we ask them to tell us what it is that they are wanting to achieve in their fitness be it wanting to loose weight, build their cardio or get toned ready for their holidays so we have a better understanding how we can help and support.

Now the most important bit is that you don’t need to be super fit to start training you need to have a strong will and determination to reach your fitness goal because it is difficult to get fit in the beginning.

When designing a boot camp we try to cover different areas of the body and vary the difficulty of the exercise.

So below is a basic boot camp:

1 minute exercise with 30 second rest period in between.

  1. Press ups
  2. Dips
  3. Weighted cross step punches
  4. Scissors
  5. Burpees
  6. Kettle bell swings
  7. Sit ups
  8. Donkey kicks
  9. Weighted squats
  10. Battle rope
  11. Dying fly
  12. TRX pull ups
  13. Ball slam
  14. Plank

Every week the exercises change to keep it fresh as the same old workout can get boring week after week and can aid in demotivation.

Also so we might throw in a cheeky challenge 🙂

What makes Pride different from most fitness gyms is the motivation from the instructors but also the banter and fun from the people training in the session.

So saying all that if you are currently training and want a change or want to start why not get in touch and give it a go we are more than happy to help.
